Health and Safety

 

We are committed to providing the safest working environment possible for all employees and sub-contractors. As part of our commitment we employ independent Health & Safety consultants, Eastern Builders Safety Group, to work alongside our management team to monitor, assess and update our working procedures and training.

 

We are proud of our impressive safety record and are always willing to institute changes to maintain this. Our Health and Safety Policy details the responsibilities at all staff levels and is available on request.  Project Managers are responsible for ensuring that safe on-site working practices are adhered to at all times.

 

Our Project Managers complete full Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to any works commencing and they undertake strict site inductions and regular 'tool box' talks.

 

We ensure all reasonable measures are taken to identify environmental hazards e.g. hazardous material and substances (COSHH), Fire Safety and Manual Handling.

 

The Company has Public Liability Insurance cover of £5 million.

 

ACCREDITATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS:

Omega by Armstrong - The Omega programme is designed to develop the partnership between Armstrong World Industries, the suspended ceiling supplier, and a Specialist Ceiling Contractor such as 3 Dimensions with both parties committed to delivering superior service and performance through the provision of key requirements.
CSCS - All 3 Dimensions Project Managers and site operatives hold the appropriate CSCS cards.  We are proud to be members of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme as we feel it gives us an opportunity to demonstrate to our clients the quality of our workforce.
CHAS - 3 Dimensions is accredited under the Construction, Health and Safety Assessment Scheme and CHAS registered clients can confirm details of our accreditation via www.chas.gov.uk. The scheme is a national database of contractors who have demonstrated appropriate compliance and management standards.
Alcumus SafeContractor – 3 Dimensions is accredited under the SafeContractor scheme.  This scheme provides a health and safety audit service for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on their sites.
Constructionline - 3 Dimensions is registered as a pre-qualified contractor under the Department for Business’s Constructionline scheme (no. 83025) in respect of contracts up to £150,000.00 – see www.constructionline.co.uk. The database is used by Government Departments, Local Authorities, Universities, Main Contractors and others when awarding contracts.
Eastern Builders Safety Group (ESBG) - As part of our commitment to Health and Safety we employ independent consultants, Eastern Builders Safety Group Limited - see www.ebsg-ltd.co.uk - to work alongside our management team to monitor, assess and update our working procedures and training.
