About Us

3 Dimensions was established in 2002 by Justin Burtenshaw, who still has day to day running of the company.  We are Cambridge based but are happy to work anywhere in East Anglia the Home Counties and beyond.

Our mission is to be a force in the interiors industry without losing our reputation for being reliable and delivering high quality interior fit out and refurbishment projects on time and within clients’ budgets.

We work directly to end-user clients, to architects and designers, Saab-2and also as a specialist subcontractor to main contractors and trade customers. We have wide experience working with both private and public sector clients as well as the region's healthcare and educational establishments.

We are not a large management oriented company. We believe in a friendly personalised service which we think sets us apart from our competitors. Many clients return with repeat orders.

Our approach is simple. From enquiry to project completion we are client focused. We appoint one Project Manager at tender stage and, later, an on-site working foreman to oversee the entire contract. The nominated Project Manager will regularly update a client on progress against the works programme.

We believe our success comes from paying attention to detail at all times and never accepting anything other than the highest quality of workmanship. We aim to take the pressure off our clients' shoulders leaving them free to concentrate on their own businesses.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site and we hope we can be of help to you.

3 Dimensions … delivering high quality cost effective fit-out and refurbishment solutions.

What We Do

Fit-out: We aim to create working environments that are both flexible and imaginative. We supply and fit partitioning systems, suspended ceilings, and flooring, as well as joinery, electrics, communications, and air conditioning.

Refurbishment: We are capable of undertaking full strip-outs, reconfiguring partitioning layouts, and replacing mechanical and electrical installations. We can also provide any necessary internal and external builder's services from brick and block work to plastering, electrics, and plumbing.

Change and churn: Our site teams are accustomed to working in occupied premises where business has to continue while alterations to partitions and services are made. Our priorities in these 'change and churn' projects are to minimise disturbance and recognise the importance of safety and hygiene.

Our Project Managers and most of our Site Operatives have been in the interiors industry for over 20 years and are familiar with all aspects of it. All directly employed staff hold Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) cards appropriate to their position.

The company is registered as a pre-qualified contractor under the Department for Business's Constructionline scheme (no. 83025) in respect of contracts up to £72,500.00 - see

To minimise our overheads we employ freelance designers and specialist trade companies as and when required. We enjoy good working relationships with those we have employed on previous projects. In every case we examine and approve Health & Safety Policies, insurance cover, and company structure.

Health and Safety

We are committed to providing the safest working environment possible for all employees and sub-contractors. As part of our commitment we employ independent Health & Safety consultants, Eastern Builders Safety Group, to work alongside our management team to monitor, assess and update our working procedures and training.

We are proud of our impressive safety record and are always willing to institute changes to maintain this. Our Health and Safety Policy details the responsibilities at all staff levels and is available on request.  Project Mangers are responsible for ensuring that safe on-site working practices are adhered to at all times.

Our Project Managers complete full Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to any works commencing and they undertake strict site inductions and regular 'tool box' talks.

We ensure all reasonable measures are taken to identify environmental hazards e.g. hazardous material and substances (COSHH), Fire Safety and Manual Handling.

The company has Public Liability Insurance cover of £5 million.
